Congratulations to our winner Misterhbk with 941 posts!

PlayStation Edge Members,

To celebrate not only owning this site again, but also the release of the PS Vita this February we are going to give away a PS Vita! Thats right, a Wifi PS Vita console will be given away on February 22th on release day shipped via amazon! Here are the rules and how to win, they are fairly simple. The contest will start today and end on the the 20th of February 2012. The objective is to have the most posts on the forum! Thats all, just post! This contest excludes admins like myself of course. So what are you waiting for? Get posting and win that PlayStation vita!

How to Win?
  • Be the top poster!
Rules
  • All posts most be a decent size, not just one short sentence. If you do this, the post will not count towards the competition.
  • No double posting (One post after another in the same topic)

Yeah, I noticed that. Was going to try to find a report button, but he already was managed by then.

Yeah, it's good to have constant updates. I know many a forum that have been abandoned and left to bots and spammers and such.

Sweet! So someone whose a member here will definitely win a Vita? Very generous contest for you guys to do! Btw though, how are you guys going to keep track if someone is only posting short online sentences? Seems like that would be difficult to do. Is there like a word count or something?

Yup, some member will definitely win the PS Vita with the highest post count. :) It's a really cool contest if you like to be involved in online gaming communities, because now you have a chance to not only be involved in a great growing community but get a cool prize in return for helping us out. We will be checking for short posts via a moderation team, and some simple sql tools I'll run at the end of the contest.

I like the fact that you guys are gonna be checking for short post. Keeps people from just spamming the place with short post to try to win the contest.

Yeah, many contests are not regulated and such. So it's good to know that although this place is small, the admins make sure it runs smoothly.

Let's hope for the best.

Cool contest! it will be awesome to whoever wins the ps vita. good luck to all

Post as many comments around the forum right? This looks like a fairly new site

Yeah its a pretty new site, but just a word to the wise, don't double post like you did here. I'm sure you didn't mean to but its against the rules. I did it by accident earlier and got a warning. Just letting you know. Welcome to the forums though! Glad to see this place growing!

Yeah, same here. I thought that quoting a post would ignore the double posting rule (as it does on many forums), but since this is a contest, I can see why they would not allow it.

Just old forum habits.

I've never been big on 'mass' posting. I'd love to win a Vita for my daughter, but I won't spam post either.

One curious thing though. You mention no 'double posting' but you list as one post after another on the same topic. I thought double posting was two or more identical posts? For a new poster like myself, I'll end up finding a couple of posts within the same thread to respond to one after another. Maybe I misread what ye said :D

That's a very good question actually. To clarify on that, we consider double posting adding a post below the one you just made. So in other words just one after another without giving someone else a chance to reply to the topic. Mainly because it could get a bit like spam, or in this case it would be pretty much cheating on the contest.
